Getting started
How do I get started?
Book a free consultation online, complete a short health questionnaire and meet a licensed physician in a 15-minute video visit. If treatment is right for you, your prescription can be written the same day.
Do I need a referral or an in-person visit?
No. Everything happens online. Your physician may ask for recent lab results if they are needed to prescribe safely.
Which states do you serve?
Our physicians are licensed across the United States. See our locations page to find your state.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The initial consultation is $0. You only pay for a program if your physician prescribes treatment and you choose to start.
Eligibility
Who qualifies for tirzepatide?
Most adults who qualify have a BMI of 30 or higher, or a BMI of 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol or sleep apnea. Your physician makes the final decision.
Who should not take tirzepatide?
Anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2, anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, and anyone with a serious allergy to tirzepatide. Your physician also screens for pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney problems and other conditions.
Can I switch from semaglutide?
Often, yes. Your physician reviews your current medication and dose, decides when to switch and chooses a safe starting dose. Do not take two GLP-1 medications at the same time.
Cost and payment
How much does it cost?
Our tirzepatide program is $399/month, including physician visits and medication. The 3-month package is $1,125 and the 6-month package is $2,199 (as low as $366.50/month). Brand-name medications are available at additional cost.
Do you accept insurance?
Our programs are self-pay, so you don’t need insurance. If your plan covers a brand-name medication, your physician can explain how to use it.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can cancel future renewals any time before your next billing date. See our refund policy for details.
Medication and safety
What are the most common side effects?
Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, indigestion and reduced appetite. They are usually mild to moderate and tend to ease as your body adjusts. Contact your care team if they are severe or don’t improve.
When should I seek urgent care?
Seek care right away for severe stomach pain that won’t go away (with or without vomiting), signs of an allergic reaction, a lump or swelling in your neck, trouble swallowing, or symptoms of low blood sugar or dehydration. Call 911 in an emergency.
Is compounded tirzepatide FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed pharmacies for individual patients and are not FDA-approved or reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. Zepbound® and Mounjaro® are the FDA-approved tirzepatide brands.
